European Electronique implemented a solution to help Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust move closer to achieving its vision “to deliver high quality care in the most efficient way” by supporting new and more dynamic ways of working and the introduction of a robust and future-proofed architecture.

The Requirement

Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust’s vision is aligned to the NHS England guidance to go paperless and move towards achieving a fully integrated digital care record across all care settings. To realise this, the Trust is creating its own electronic patient record system which will give clinicians instant access to patient lists, correspondence, results, appointments and medical history. Critical to this was the installation of a secure and robust mobility solution across Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals.

The Solution

European Electronique defined a roadmap to migrate academies to take advantage of our Freedom solution. Freedom is engineered to meet educational needs at a price point that education budgets can sustain. In addition, it is 100% UK hosted for all data. Detailed school by school migration plans that supported minimal down time, highlighting key risks and providing a strict change control process to eliminate cost overruns were created.

This solution will allow the Trust to support new and more dynamic ways of working, and the introduction of a robust and future proofed architecture has meant that future requirements, such as RFID and real-time location services, can also be met.
