The Big Life group (BLG) is one of the largest social businesses in the country with a mission to change the world by creating opportunities for people to change their lives. 

BLG was looking for a proactive partner to provide an ICT Managed Service comprising of cloud solutions and support services. 

The proposed solution centred around a cloud-first approach integrating European Electronique’s own cloud service – Freedom, office365 and mobile devices. This delivered working flexibility and enabled accurate financial planning by having a fully costed annual service charge for infrastructure services. 

The University has a population approaching 20,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The teaching takes place on the campus, split in two by the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and having made substantial investment, the University now has fantastic facilities. 

To facilitate the demand for mobile learning the University selected a HPE Aruba solution rated as market-leading by Gartner and Forrester. The solution was architected and deployed by European Electronique from the proof of concept and migration to implementation. To determine optimal placement of approximately 1100 APs, EE surveyed the estate of diverse buildings, including an old mill.
